WOODBINE, Iowa – Toni Waite announced today that she will seek the Republican nomination for Iowa House District 15, stating she is committed to upholding and championing conservative values and tax relief. 

Toni Waite is a lifelong Midwesterner. She was born in Wisconsin and grew up in Indiana before living in Lincoln, Nebraska for many years. She moved to Woodbine, Iowa in 2012 and has called Iowa home for over a decade. A born and raised Midwesterner, Waite understands the strong Iowa work ethic and the values that are important to the great people of Iowa.

If elected to represent Iowa House District 15, Toni will fight for Western Iowa. Her top priorities including protecting property owners from eminent domain abuse, protecting life, and tax reform with a focus on property tax relief. 

Toni Waite will fight to protect landowners from eminent domain abuse. She believes private property rights are a top issue for rural Iowa. “It’s long past time that the legislature and the executive branch come together to protect landowners from eminent domain abuse,” Waite stated. “Eminent domain should never be used for private gain.” 

Waite has a strong understanding of property taxes and will champion reform to provide tax relief for all Iowans. During her time in Lincoln, Nebraska, Toni worked at the Lancaster County Assessor’s Office. Using her experience, she promises to review and consider all the taxes and the allocation of taxpayer dollars to identify areas to provide much needed taxpayer relief. 

Toni is a strong advocate for life. She is pro-life and will fight to protect our children from conception to natural death. For Toni, protecting our youth includes keeping children in their God-given gender locker rooms and sports. She will fight to keep men out of girls’ private spaces including restrooms, locker rooms, and sports. 

“If awarded the opportunity to represent you, I vow to not just listen to you, but take what you have to say to heart and consider all constituent’s opinions as valid and important,” Waite said. “I would be honored to have your support and to represent the great people of Harrison and Pottawattamie Counties in Des Moines.”
